In Chapter 6 , which is talking on the “Principles of Interpretation” of the Bible , I have Come to understand what the Bible mean when it say in Timothy 2:15 that ” rightly dividing ” the word of truths.
Rightly dividing mean giving to each person that which belong to Him ( them )
From this chapter , there are six rules for
proper interpreting the Bible and these Six rules are :
1-The rule of Divine Authority : The Bible is the final Authority as seen in ( 2 Timothy 3:16 , 2 peter 1 : 19-21 )
( 2 ) The rule of Literal interpretation : Meaning the word of God is exact with what it say
( 3 ) The rule of Contextual Consideration: meaning WE Should Study the Bible in relation to the verses that precede and follow as well as in relation to the rest of the Bible.
4- The rule of first mention : Meaning the first time a word , object , phrase or incident is mention in the Bible , it gives the key to its meaning anywhere else it occurs .
5 -The rule of Repitition ; meaning that a truth is Such importance that it need to be repeated .
6 -The rule of Cumulative Revelation : meaning Total revelation of all the Bible regarding a truth must be considered
