Sharing with us what I have learned in Chapter 11 on the topic Book study. I have learn that Synthetic Bible study is a study of something as a whole to gain a general knowledge of it’s content while Analytical Bible study is to analyze something by separating it into it’s various parts and examine each individually and it’s more detailed than a synthetic study. There are 3 steps to study a book of the bible.
1). Initial Survey
2). Book study chart
3). Book outline.
This chapter has stated some examples which has help me to better understand the veriouse steps in studying a book. The first step has made me to understand that I must take into consideration some basic things in the initial Survey of a book which are; ( Book, Theme, Author, Purpose, key words, key verse, characters and To whom it was written to.
This particular chapter is really helping me because it gives me a better understanding by interpreting the chapters, paragraphs, verses and the words of the book in a proper context. Thanks
