Chapter 11: God’s Will and suffering
    People suffer for various reasons:
    – the people around you can be the source of your pain like Joseph
    – The afflictions of life or circumstances like in the case of Naomi
    – A call into ministry can introduce so much suffering in your life like in the case of Saul
    – it could come from satanic activity
    – personal sin could also be a source of suffering.
When you suffer your attitude or response is the test of the Holy spirit.
    – commit your soul to God, because he works for your good.
    – Be happy when you suffer according to the will of God.
    – Don’t think it strange when you experience suffering
    – endure hardness like a soldier.
    – like Jesus Christ view it like a servant as you keep your eyes on its eternal benefits instead of the problem.
Suffering also has positive benefits of suffering.
    – your faith is tested
    – you’re able to confront others
    – You learn not to trust your own self.
    – positive qualities are developed in your life.
    – The works of God are manifested
    – The power of God is perfected
    – that which is unstable is removed
    – Your focus is changed
    – The old self is transformed
    – God prepares you for ministry
    – You are prepared to reign with Christ
    – Suffering brings spiritual blessings.
    – You learn obedience through suffering
    – suffering tests the word of God with you.
    – Suffering humbles you
    – Suffering enlages you
    – You come to know God intimately.
The storms of life, those difficult times affect us spiritually, mentally, physically, materially and emotionally.storms from satan come to hinder your progress on your destiny path.when storms come from God, they could be considered as chastisement. But when you suffer for your sins the you need to repent to bring an end to that storm.
Suffering is part of the Christian journey.note that suffering for your sins can be avoided but if it’s a chastisement from God it’s inevitable.
There will always beomenrs when your Brook becomes dry. It could be just when you start enjoying God’s blessings then suddenly adverse circumstances set in.in that case don’t be discouraged for God will always provide for you as he did to Elijah.
In this adverse circumstances some people complain but the wise ones will realise that as surely as God brought them to the brook, He will take you to a new dimension of his will.
